The ACTHIV New Providers Track is designed specifically for clinicians and care team members who are newer to caring for people living with or at risk for HIV-typically those within their first two years of HIV practice.
Rather than navigating your first ACTHIV conference on your own, you’ll participate in a small-group learning experience led by experienced HIV clinicians who serve on the ACTHIV Conference Planning Committee. Together, you’ll build confidence, reinforce key concepts, discuss real-world cases, and make the most of everything ACTHIV has to offer.
Important: The New Providers Track is offered onsite only because its small-group discussions, faculty mentoring, and peer interactions are central to the learning experience.
The New Providers Track is designed for members of the HIV care team who:
Participants may include physicians, nurse practitioners, physician associates/assistants, nurses, pharmacists, case managers, social workers, and other members of the HIV care team.
Attending a national HIV conference for the first time can be exciting—but it can also feel overwhelming.
The ACTHIV New Providers Track helps participants get more from the conference by combining the full ACTHIV educational program with structured mentoring, facilitated discussion, and peer learning.
Throughout the meeting, participants meet regularly with experienced HIV clinicians from the ACTHIV Conference Planning Committee who serve as mentors. Together, you’ll:
The result is a conference experience that helps participants build confidence, strengthen practical HIV knowledge, and return to practice better prepared to care for people living with or at risk for HIV.
In addition to participating in the full ACTHIV conference, New Providers Track participants take part in dedicated small-group sessions held throughout the meeting.
These sessions include:
Small-group discussions are intentionally conversational, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions, explore challenging cases, and learn from both faculty mentors and fellow participants.
Mentors also help participants identify conference sessions, posters, and networking opportunities that best align with their professional interests and learning goals.
The New Providers Track is intentionally designed as an in-person learning experience.
Mentoring, peer discussion, and informal learning throughout the conference are essential parts of the program. The relationships built during shared sessions, conversations between presentations, and ongoing interaction with mentors create a learning experience that extends well beyond the classroom.
For that reason, participation in the New Providers Track is available only to in-person conference attendees.

Participation in the New Providers Track is available at no additional cost for eligible in-person conference registrants. Space is limited to preserve the interactive small-group learning experience.
To be considered, select the New Providers Track during conference registration. Participants will be notified of acceptance before the conference. Once the program reaches capacity, additional qualified applicants will be placed on a waitlist and offered participation if space becomes available.
